How to get Airtel’s 15GB of 4G data at the price of 1GB; Find out here
After the much hyped and successful launch of the ‘Welcome Offer’ by ‘Reliance Jio’. Its major competitors like Airtel, Idea and Vodafone have also come up with many interesting offers to give it a stiff competition.
India’s Giant Telecom Operator, Bharti Airtel facing a threat from Reliance Jio, has been making numerous announcements in the past month to the benefit of its customers. After slashing 3G and 4G data tariffs, Airtel has now made yet another announcement that offers users with data benefits. The operator has recently launched a plan that will offer additional 14GB 4G data on the purchase of 1GB of 4G internet pack. The offer is valid only for its prepaid customers.
In order to available the offer, you are required to follow the following procedure:
First of all, who should have a prepaid sim, as this offer is not available for postpaid sim.
You should have a 4G enabled smartphone.
If you have fulfilled the above two requirements the next step is to download the 'My Airtel' smartphone app.
When you recharge 1GB from the My Airtel app, you will get an extra 14GB worth of 4G data on your phone for the next three months, automatically. Please note that this is a promotional data offer and for customer who are using 3G services can experience 4G speed at a substantial low cost for the next three months.
Even if this offer is for just three months, to be honest, it is something that Airtel users can take full advantage of. Airtel’s services in large cities are still decent, and speeds are good. Moreover, till the next three months, the competition is going to get intense and more such packs might be introduced
Interestingly, for a few Samsung phones, in non-4G telecom circles, users will get 1GB of 3G data for daytime usage and an additional 14GB for night usage, 12am to 6am. 50 percent of the data consumed in this period is credited in the morning and can be used anytime during the day. Note this cash back service is available for prepaid users currently. This data recharge is valid for 3 months, or 3 recharges, whichever happens earlier.
The freebies can be seen as a move by Airtel to retain its customers after the Mukesh Ambani-led Jio has entered the market with its disruptive data offerings. More such offers can be expected out of the Telco in near future.
