As Flipkart gears up for its ‘Big Shopping Days’ sale between December 18 and 21, the e-commerce giant surprised everyone with one of its teasers featuring the OnePlus 3. After hinting that the smartphone will be available for under Rs 20,000, Flipkart has now updated the banner with more details. OnePlus 3 will go on sale on December 18 at 4PM, and you’ll be able to purchase it for as low as Rs 18,999. While that is awesome, there’s a catch.

Considering the Rs 27,999 price tag of OnePlus 3 at launch, getting one for as low as Rs 18,999 sounds like a good sweetest deal. Its flat discount of Rs 9,000, and the smartphone will be available in limited quantities. However, Flipkart did run into trouble after putting the teaser. OnePlus CEO Carl Pei slammed Flipkart on Twitter by calling out Sachin Bansal. He mentioned that OnePlus has an exclusive partnership with Amazon India to sell the OnePlus 3. The company also released a statement saying it cannot guarantee authenticity of products purchased outside its official channels.

In reply, Flipkart also mentioned that its marketplace model lets sellers connect with customers across the country. Also the prices and discounts offered are decided by participating brands and sellers.
