Reliance JIo is about to Withdraw it's 3 Months Complimentary Service: Here's what you can do

Reliance Jio has disrupted the telecom sector ever since its arrival last year. After giving free SIM cards to subscribers and over six months of free service, the telecom operator recently announced Jio Prime subscription for Rs 99, followed by a Summer Surprise offer with interesting data benefits. Prime members could recharge their number with Rs 303 and above to avail three months of complimentary usage. Now, while the enrolment period was till April 15, last night Jio announced the withdrawal of Summer Surprise offer.
When does the withdrawal come into effect?
As of now, Reliance Jio has only mentioned that it has accepted TRAI’s advice and withdrawing the Summer Surprise offer. While the company hasn’t mentioned when the withdrawal will come into effect, Jio said in a statement that it will do when it is ‘operationally feasible, over the next few days.’
What happens to those who have already subscribed?
If you have subscribed already subscribed for Jio Prime membership and recharged with Rs 303 or above to become eligible for Summer Surprise offer, there is no need to worry. Jio has mentioned that the plan benefits will be applicable to those who have already subscribed.
What about those who haven’t subscribed yet?
Well, if you haven’t subscribed for Jio Prime and the Summer Surprise offer, you still have some time left. Although Reliance Jio hasn’t clearly spoken about the withdrawal date, if you don’t want to miss out on the exiting offer, you should go ahead and subscribe right away.
In case you’re already a Prime member, you just need to do a recharge of Rs 303 or above. And if you haven’t enrolled for the Prime membership, you’ll have to recharge with Rs 99 first, and then followed by Rs 303 or above.
You can do the recharge using the myJio app, from Jio.com, using Paytm or Freecharge, or by visting the Reliance Digital or Digital Xpress mini stores. Don’t be surprised to see long queues at the Reliance Digital stores for subscription.
